There has been quite a bit of concern about the rise of automation lately, and it’s been a key component of the rise of nationalist, protectionist politics. Jobs have been getting scarce in some parts of the world, and it’s important that people have the skills to recognize automation trends and adapt accordingly.
With all that in mind, I decided to write a new book: The Automation Survival Guide. It’s the first time I’ve written a book that’s completely free and available to read online, but I think this problem is of such critical importance that I don’t care about making money off of book sales.
It’s written not just as a book, but also as a curriculum for learning how to adapt to automation. I’ve done my best to encapsulate the most important skills that you need to know, and then provided a set of recommendations you can dive into to make the most of those skills.
Even if you aren’t worried about losing your job to a machine, you should read this book. You might surprised about what can and can’t be done by computers.
If you have any questions or feedback about the book, please feel free to reach out to me on my contact page.
